ANTS IN THE PANTS!

My NEW blog with travel photos (click)

Welcome to my (old) travel site!

I haven't been very good at staying in one place for long. Traveling was a curiosity which became an addiction which became a lifestyle. Places that  need to be seen jump out at me everytime I glance at a map. NOTHING compares to travelling. You need to be good at lots of things and use every skill you have from dealing with people to finding your way. I seem to like myself most when moving about. I like that there is something to stimulate every sense, and an adventure to be had anywhere at any time. And I never tire of looking for it.

The biggest reward ultimately has been people. I've connected with some fantastic people on the road, both locals and fellow travellers. Some of the most interesting people choose to spend their time travelling, and I'm glad to have crossed paths with so many of them.

On these pages, you'll find some of the photos I've taken along the way. Some of my first travels, such as Cuba and Mexico are not represented as I didn't carry a camera at that time. They are organized in reverse chronology, with the most recent travels first. So far there are twenty-six galleries.

Photos prior to 1999 were taken with a rusty, fully manual Yashica FX3 which was my first SLR camera. More recent pictures were taken with a Canon Rebel G. A few images were made on borrowed digital cameras, but I am still a film-n-paper kinda guy.

Thanks for dropping by and check out my home page if you haven't already!
