I dropped by Shanghai on my way South at the end of June.
It really blew me away. All the reminents of European high society mixed with the new high-tech, industrious China - amazing.
I spent days just wandering the tree-lined avenues of the old French concession at Luwan, admiring old manors and art-deco
shops. Passed evenings at Xintiandi, wandered the awsome neon Nanjing road to the Bund, got lost in the old Chinese
atmosphere of Yuyuan,ate some great food. What a knockout - I will definately be back to Shanghai!
