In Fall, 2002, I took Jai Moon's friend Hyun Mi on a three
week trek in the Everest region. After a twelve hour bus ride from Kathmandu, we walked several days to Namche Bizaar. From
there we walked on to the beautiful lakes of the Gokyo region. One morning, I climbed Gokyo peak and from my vantage point
at about 5 and a half kilometers above sea level, was rewarded with breathtaking views of some of the highest peaks on Earth.
