Egypt and Sinai

Pyramis of Cheops, Giza

I went to Dahab, Sinai from Tel Aviv in May this year. It had all the features of a great sea-side resort but without the beach. Everyone was acting as if they were on a fabulous beach but there was little more than rocks. It was like the Emperor's New Clothes! I just wanted to shout at everybody, "look guys, there's no beach here, what are you doing?" Some great diving though. I finally got my Open Water certification there. from there I went to Aswan to celebrate my birthday on the Nile. Lovely. The desert oases are definitely the highlight of Egypt. Sitting there surrounded by miles of nothingness. I passed my last night in Egypt sleeping atop Mount Sinai. I've never seen so many stars...
