My friend Speranza and I road-tripped through the Rockies in July,
2000. We drove from Calgary to Banff and on to Jasper. On the way under deep blue skies, we passed mountains that just kept
getting more and more spectacular as we drove. The lakes are a surreal blue-green and the clear white glaciers give the whole
region an incredible atmosphere. I was glad to finally see this marvellous part of my own country.
